Portwest FP42 retractable fall arrester with steel cable, 6 m

The Portwest FP42 fall arrester follows user movement and locks the cable when its braking mechanism detects a fall.

A spring-loaded reel retracts the steel cable automatically to limit slack. The swivelling carabiner helps reduce twisting, while the fall indicator supports post-load inspection.

Required clearance, permitted orientation, anchor location, edge loading and maximum system load must be established before use. An activated fall indicator requires immediate withdrawal for competent inspection.
